S.H.O.P (“Surgeons” Helping Other People) helps educators attend systematically to students' social and emotional necessities. We do this by providing students haircuts by licensed barbers who collaborate with behavioral specialists to facilitate peer group discussions and activities. In return, the academic achievement of each student increases; the incidence of problematic behaviors decreases, and the quality of the relationships surrounding each child improves.
